We received an email out of the blue telling us we had to check out something called a ‘roller derby.’ The email was so convincing we simply had to agree, so we packed up our kit and took the short trip up the M18 to Hull.
What greeted us on arrival was a wash of face paint, knee pads and some of the fiercest looking women we’ve ever seen. Our first ever bout with the Hulls Angels Roller Dames was certainly a memorable one and definitely won’t be the last.
